CDs
Stephanie has recorded a variety of CDs. The latest project is a double album, I Love Erroll, I Love James P. (2020), and it features the compositions of two legendary figures of jazz piano. Broadway and More, features her work with Paolo Alderighi on two pianos. Two of her CDs, Double Trio Always and Double Trio Live 2015,
present her four-hands duo with Paolo, this time with the
rhythm section. They've recorded two other albums in four hands: Sentimental Journey, which features their own arrangements of swing
standards, songs from the New Orleans repertoire, and an original
boogie; and Two for One, which was their first CD together. Fourteen is the result of her collaboration with lyricist and
vocalist, Lorraine Feather. Something More, recorded on the Victoria Records label in March 2011, features work with her trio. Stephanie Trick LIVE
was recorded in St. Louis' acoustically-perfect Sheldon Concert Hall in
May 2010, and includes many favorite songs from her concerts which had
not previously been recorded. A video version (now out of print) of the Sheldon concert
with bonus material was released on DVD in June 2011. The LIVE album was awarded the "New Talent 2011 Prize" by the Hot Club of France.
Hear That Rhythm! has an emphasis on the stride works of
Waller, Johnson, and Smith, as well as on some contemporary ragtime
compositions. Her second CD, Ragtime Tricks, originally out
in 2006, was re-released in 2010 with new tracks, new arrangements, and
new artwork. Stephanie's first solo album, Piano Tricks, is a combination of stride, ragtime, jazz, and classical selections.
Her albums can be ordered using this order form.
The new double album is now available!!

I Love Erroll, I Love James P. - double album (physical only)
Released November 2020
This special
double album brings together two extraordinary figures in jazz piano,
Erroll Garner and James P. Johnson, and highlights their compositional
legacy. On Disc 1, Stephanie masterfully interprets 19 original
compositions of Johnson as a tribute to the Father of Stride Piano, who
wrote not only brilliant display pieces in the stride tradition but
also beautiful popular songs and lyrical numbers as well. Paolo joins
in four-hands on 5 tracks #5, 8, 13, 15, and 18. On Disc 2, Paolo
presents 12 rarely heard songs by Garner (plus #1, an original of his
own, and #7, by Red Callender) in trio, in solo (on the beautiful
ballads of #4, 10, 12, and 14), and with Stephanie as guest on
percussion (on #6, 9, and 13). and illustrates that Garner's
compositional legacy extends beyond "Misty." Paolo is featured on this
CD with his trio, as well as in solo piano for four beautiful
renditions of Garner's more intimate, introspective numbers.
